Bridal bouquets

With the recent arrival of spring, even if you marry in September or October, probably you  are already thinking in the bouquet you will wear on your wedding day.

Even if the godfather is the one who gives it to you, the bunch will be a complement of your wardrobe, so if he takes care to choose it, advise him how your dress gonna be , what kind of flowers you prefere, what colors, which style fits you better, if it has to be an stemmed bouquet, “bride” type or wire mesh mounted … you better … choose it yourself.

With the exception that your godfather is a good friend who always agree with your taste  and has some feeling with these things, you know, he won’t stand in the flower shop saying “Make a beautiful and colorful bouquet… the bride? The bride will wear a white dress, I think so. “

There are some very simple aesthetic guidelines to follow to succeed in the election, for example if you are tall and slender is better a colorful bunch, even a waterfall type. If you are short will fit you better a small and rounded bouquet. Vivid colors for dark-haired, soft colors for blondes, intense reds for ginger-haired  …

It’s good to know all those things, but the most important thing is to follow your own guidelines. You are not designing a fashion show for the BCN Bridal Week, you are ultimately choosing the flowers you love for a very special day, so just let yourselve go. If you are dark-haired and you love vintage pastel bouquets choose those ones, and if you are blonde and you love red roses and explosive colors, this is your bouquet. Rules exist to be broken in favor of authenticity and happiness.

There are very good floral art professionals in Girona, who will surely know how to interpret your tastes and transform them into reality: Mercè Martí from Artiflors is a very stylish professional of this industry in the area of Banyoles, there’s Freesia in Girona if you like the original branches, Fontanillas in Sant Celoni …

If you want something different, have a look at the bdeblanca’s web, bouquets made with clothbound flowers, and they are having great success despite of being a young company. Also you may be interested in Floresforever, they work with preserved flowers. This technique preserves the natural flower more than five years long, allowing unlimited colors and keeping allways the natural appearance.

There is always a flower for everyone.
